    I received a free phone last year from Alltel with no credit check and with a monthly contract! The offer came in the mail through an outside company, and was legit. Does anyone know of this with cingular?? I am with cingular now on the pay as you go and would like a plan but my credit right now is causing too high a deposit. Thanks,

    They will give you a free phone, but they will check your credit first.

    You have the option of Cingular Go Phone Pick Your Plan. No contract or credit check but only requires auto pay for monthly service with a credit card, debit card or checking account. The monthly rates are:
    - $29.99/mo. 200 min.
    - $39.99/mo. 300 min. with 1000 N&W min.
    - $49.99/mo. 400 min. with Unlimited N&W min.
    - $69.99/mo. 650 min. with Unlimited N&W min. and Unlimited M2M
