Hey guys, here's the situation. Canceling a t-mobile sony ericsson T610 and want to join a familytalk play with cingular. I heard you can just give cingular IMIE number and I can buy a sim card and they will ship me a sim card - Best Buy told me this. When I call cingular, they said they can't just give a sim card but they can give a me free phone and I can just put the sim card from that phone in. We are doing customer loyalty rebates with the 2 phones already on the plan and I'm afraid this might screw it up. Any thoughts? Should I find a place I can just get the sims or go with the free phone?
Thanks a bunch.

Re: Adding a new line to FamilyTalk with old T-mobile phone
Are you saying that you need to activate a new line and everything for the T610? If so, go in a local Cingular dealer, tell them that you would just like to activate the phone you have and they will just give you the sim card activated. If your T610 is locked to T-Mobile, it will need to be unlocked so that it will work with a Cingular sim card.

The T610 is already unlocked but never used with cingular.
Thanks
