I bought 2 L6 Motorola SLVR's from e-bay for my wife and me. We got them in the mail the other day and they work fine. My service is through Cingular and I am still under a contract with them. But when I bought these I just switched out the sim cards into the SLVR's. The SLVR's are not a Cingular branded phone so I was wondering if when I am elligable for an upgrade and if I am tired of the L6's will Cingular still uphold the upgrade policy on these non Cingular branded phones, or would I need to switch them back into the original cingular phones that we had.

QUESTION:
How do I upgrade my wireless phone?
ANSWER:
Any Cingular subscriber in good standing whose contract is near or past expiration can upgrade to a new phone.
You can upgrade to a new phone online within My Account by following these instructions:
From the My Account home page, choose the Upgrade My Phone link in the Phone/Device box under the Mobile Information section or by click here: Upgrade Phone (logged in users only).
You will see a list of the lines on your account, with the eligibility status for each.
If you're eligible, select Upgrade Phone for the wireless number you would like to upgrade.
Select a new phone.
Add any features and accessories.
Complete checkout: provide your billing and shipping information, review your order, then click Submit.
You technically own the phones you have in your possession. There should be no need for them to inquire about them.
