Im currently at alltel and there service is pretty good but their phone selections suck.I was wondering is cingular service any good because I've all of a sudden been hereing its no good. Im really interested in the CU 500 and CU 400 and I don't want to beg my parents to switch to cingular then the service is no good. So plz someone help me. I was looking at the 2 year contract for the family plan with 2100 min for $109.Thanks.

Re: Cingular Service
You're going to have to search if Cingular coverage will be satisfactory in your area. I'd also call Cingular and talk to a CSR about the coverage.

This is using 2 different GSM phones too - so it's not just a poor phone - both Motorolas though.
Anyway, everything is a tradeoff. Right now, I like the phone selection and the battery life. If call quality and not getting dropped is of utmost importance, I would say stick with Alltel - in my opinion based on my expereince here in Houston.

Re: Cingular Service
Stick with alltel and buy an extended life battery for your phone. Phone selection sucks at alltel but in my experiace they blow cingular away in call quality and customer service....I'll take that over the latest and greatest phone anyday.
