hi,

I have a bunch of $25 AT&T free2go cards that expires december 31st, 2006. I have been trying to activate them today and yesterday (dec 30th) but there appears to be some kind of glitch in the system (which is highly suspicious). as some of you may know cingular has boughten AT&T and is discontinuiing the free2go service and will not allow any minutes to be added to a free2go plan after dec 31 2006. I was not able to get a hold of AT&T wireless customer service satuday and they and supposedly not open on sunday (dec 31st). I was able to get a hold of cingular after hours support and had a rep try activating one of m $25 free2go cards. she believed it did activate but the balance total never changed (neither did my total minutes when I placed my next call). she told me she could not add free2go minutes to my account. she told me the system just needed to catch up to update your account and in the morning (today dec 31st) it should be updated. yet it still has not updated and I don't believe it will. I always thought the minutes where updated in real time. anyway, after I got off the phone with her, I went head and activated all the cards I had left (over 35 cards total) and took over 2 hrs doing it. yet my balance has still not changed. any ideas if cingular will give me the shaft when I call monday or tueday when (jan 1 or 2) and try to get these cards activated? I have a feeling they will say sorry, they've expired, we clearly stated you must activate your cards on or before dec 31st 2006. any ideas how to proceed with this? I'm assuming a lot of people have gotten screw over today and yesterday. I think they would be idiots to do this and think they could get away with it. I've used there call menu systems to add minutes for 7 years and never had problems til yesterday (which just happen to be the day before a bunch of the prepaid free2go cards expire). thanks all comments are much appreciated.
