I have been a verizon wireless customer for a long time, but reception in my area stinks. The place i work at seems to only get cingular while other services get 0 bars of reception. Recently my 2-year contract expired and they just decided on their own to semi-renew my contract for an additional 9 months so it expires 7/07. My family uses cingular and I would like to hop onto their service for the 10 dollars a month extra. Would i be able to jump onto my family's plan while keeping my old verizon phone number. Is verizon even allowed to renew a contract without my consent? Its not really a contract if i don't agree upon it. Thanks in advance.
