    I have an L2 that I don't use or want anymore. My roommate is using an LG 8100 with verizon and would like to use the L2 on his network. One is GSM and the other CDMA so is it possible?

    No, not possible at all. Different technologies. Unlocking a gsm phone only allows you to use another gsm carrier's sim card. There is nothing that you can do to make it work on Verizon.
