    Hello all,

My 2125 bit the dust (after I dropped it several times...). The LCD is cracked, I could have replaced it with one from Ebay but nothing else on it works either, just a white screen with crack marks.

I don't qualify for an upgrade but do for a "discount". I think I'd rather shop around for my own phone, new or used, ebay or retailer. The phone rep said if it's not a Cingular branded phone, even if it's unlocked most likely it won't have an internet connection. I don't think that's exactly accurate, is it?
What do I have to look for in a phone for it to work on the Cingular network?
Do I just pop my Sim card and the unlocked phone will work?
Does it have to be another 2125 for the address book to show up?
    Thanks for any help!
    Jamie

The link to Pre-owned Cell Phones for Cingular takes me to an accessory page. Links for other carriers work though.

Cutting through all the spammers self promoting responses that are gonna get them banned for advertising rather than contributing here, let me answer your question.

The rep was trying to sell you a phone and not being completely honest.

Any GSM phone can perform data functions. You may have to spend a few minutes on the phone with customer service and have them send you the proper settings to set up your data features but it certainly can be done with any Motorola phone.

They banned your other alias. How many aliases do you have here?
