I've looked at both. They're both terrific phones. My vote would be for the Blackberry Pearl because Samsung's software is usually kinda buggy in my experience and I'd be weary of the Blackjack because of that.

too close to call. Both are extremely popular.

A better answer might be... What are you planning to do with the phone?
Will you have a data package?

The Blackjack runs Windows Mobile 5.0 which is not perfect but very compatible with lots of applications including lots of GAMES,shareware,media files etc. If you will be using the phone to surf the web with a data package definitely get the Blackjack.Also advantage Blackjack on the Full keyboard not Pearls Half Keyboard..

Blackberry Pearl on the other hand is a Emailing master with what many think is a more stable operating system and I believe it may be a tad smaller than Blackjack...


You want my opinion... Pony up the extra few bucks and get the 8525...You get Windows mobile pocket PC edition,Touch screen,WIFI etc...
