I started out with AT&T, it seems long ago. Never had a problem with dropped calls or reception, also had a Nokia phone. Then Cingular bought AT&T and slowly AT&T was eased out. I got a Cingular phone (my first flip phone) and almost immediately I had nothing but trouble with reception and many many dropped calls. Talked to tech service, no one could understand or explain since between AT&T and Cingular towers I was within 3 miles of somethng like 3 or 4 towers. I finally had to drop Cingular and went with Verizon and have not had the problem.

Did anyone else in this area (Alexandria, VA) experience the same thing? If so, does anyone know what the problem was all about? I'm wondering if the switch back to AT&Twill make a difference in service in the area. I have no idea what the problem was and it never made sense to me. I'm asking the questions because if I can get the same reception I did early on with AT&T I would love to switch back. They have much better phones to choose from.

Any feedback?
