How about Diablo 2, and it's expansion Lord of Destruction.
I haven't played LoD but D II is very nice and balanced, if you don't consider the graphics, whereby it sucksWhat you lookin' here for ehhh?

Something that never grows old
Try out Neverwinter Nights. It's a massive game when you realize how many new campaigns you can download, and the expansion packs are also very solid.

I really NEED a futuristic RPG to come out. I'm a big shadowrun fan and anarchy online just didn't do it for me.

I just finished temple of elemental evil. Thought it was pretty good, it's based on an original dungeon and dragons module.
Now I'm getting into Dungeon Siege and Hereos of might and magic 4, they both seem pretty good and I am having trouble deciding which to play...

Dungeon Seige
Although I have never played Heroes 4, I know for a fact that Dungeon Siege is an awesome game. It has all of the solid gameplay elements of NW, but with a stronger graphics engine. It's just too bad that they don't have very many expansions for it.

if you guys don't my abandonware... the UFO series rocked...
the graphics will be cr4p compared to todays stuff.. but you gotta love the type of game... researching weapons etc...
first really great iso game out there... I got 1 and 3 of the series... haven't been able to find 2 though...
something a little more contemporary... I kinda liked Divine Divinity... although I couldn't get one part... it was a pretty good game..

For an Action-RPG how about Ocarina of Time. Ok, the graphics are not that good, but still you've got to agree it actually makes your brain work using Puzzle elements rather than just kill-and-level-up formula.
Download the ROM, and use NEMU64. I can't tell where to download the rom or I'll get banned. What you lookin' here for ehhh?

Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights, and all their respective expansions.
I've wasted hundreds upon hundreds of hours playing those games. Highly recommended
