BitTorrent help.

Hi,
I use bittorrent(rather am forced to) for downloading purposes. Now, whenever I try to download any file it says Connection refused. Why does it say? I have cable net(ie constant IP Adress). Please Help me.

maybe u can try usin another client!!!!...or 'nother network like ED2k!!

If it is "Connection Refused" then most likely you have been banned from using that tracker.

Most torrent servers I've seen are moving to a login based system and keep track of users downloading files. If they see a perticular person downloading constantly without keeping their downloading windows open for other people to download from then they will ban your IP from being able to download the files.

Yeah, but I've uploaded more than 5 times of what I've downloaded and still it bans me? Not fair.

mmmm maybe they have your subnet banned?

Is it all Bit Torrent servers or just one. If its all then its gotta be your ISP. www.suprnova.org empornium.us two different torrent servers

It might be your network configuration if you have a router

Maybe the track is dead.

You can try switch between active/passive mode on the client. Sometimes this will help. Or maybe the torrent is just old and the tracker is down.
