Somebody please help! My computer tends to crash a lot (at least 5 times a day), especially when I'm writing e-mails in MS Outlook. I've even gone so far as to totally format my hard drive and only installed MS Office XP, I thought that sorted it but the problem crept up again after a few days!

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks

Nope, the only things I installed were
    Windows XP with updates
MS Office 2002 and then XP upgrade
Up-to-date drivers for graphics card, sound card, etc.

I think it's been sorted now. I called Microsoft and they recommended that I switch off the "use word as your e-mail editor" feature in MS Outlook, which I did, and I haven't had a crash since (touch wood!!!)

It crashed again on me. No idea why. Stupid machine! Outlook was open but only in the background. Maybe it was a one off (I can hope can't I!)

    Version 6.

I do use Outlook Express, but only to access Newsgroups occasionally and most of the time my computer crashes it's not open and hasn't been used in that session. Still, I guess every MS product is connected in some way.

I'm using MS Outlook 2002 for e-mails. Haven't had a crash since Tuesday though.

Not since the 12 of Oct, which is a week ago. It's going strong! Looks like Microsoft's help was actually useful for once!
