    I use Ad-Aware.

There are a lot of different programs you can use though. I think Microsof is offering a spyware removal program. I'm not sure if it's available yet, but check their site. Just google spyware removal and you'll find a bunch of programs.

SpyBot is also a good piece of spyware removal. The only programs I would use are AdAware, SpyBot, and Microsoft has one in beta at http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx

Jester's got the idea. Use both spybot and adaware. If you use both they seem to catch a few thinsg the other didn't. It won't be a ton of stuff the other missed... but the less the spyware the better

Adaware and Spybot are the best combination in my opinion. I also use AVG for anti-virus and Zone Alarm firewall.

Best thing is, they are all free and considered to be ecxellent programmes within the PC community

Thats based on your opinion, i think there is no BEST programs to use, the BEST program would be able to detect and remove all traces of spyware and at the moment not a single program can do all that

i use multiple progs to remove spyware, adaware se and spysweeper and if i see any suspect processes or entries in win.ini or similar i go and so a manual search
