Re: Apple Users?
I have an iMac G4, my mom has the iMac G5, my brother has the Mac Mini, and my dad has 3 or 4 Mac laptops, one of which is the newest, the MacBook. Love my computer, would never own anything else. Especially since the new Intel iMac will run XP on it thru the Bootcamp software.
(the attached image is my iMac G4, for those of you poor people unfamiliar with Apple computers.)

Re: Apple Users?
Switched in August '04 and never looked back. I started out using my sister's 500 MHz iMac G3, but then I got a 2.0 GHz 17" iMac. I love it!

Re: Apple Users?
The only thing I'll give Apple credit for is power. Their machines are built strong and running windows on the x86 platform makes it (seem due to requirements) stronger. You could still build a windows machine with the same or better specs for WAY cheaper than a Mac.

Re: Apple Users?
Between spy-ware programs, disk cleaners, virus protection, Trojans, worms, hijack protection, email virus scanning of outgoing and incoming mail, and with the constant running of these programs in the background of your PC, these programs take up ram and slows the overall operation of your PC down.
I spent half of my time on my windows unit reviewing and reading protection programs that constantly scan and monitoring my PC.
With my Mac I use... nothing

Re: Apple Users?
I also think one of the things that slows Windows down is that it doesn't really close applications (or programs to you.) I think what makes Mac OS 10 so quick is that when you're done with something, it's done and has closed. instead of staying on in case you might open it up again.

Re: Apple Users?
Now that Apple has boot camp, I might just get a Mac Book Pro.
