are they actually any good? i really need a computer but dont got the money to pay for one thats really expensive.. but ive heard they suck in the past. suggestions?
edit: and i cant make computers.. :\ too much time

Emachine's I'd stay away from, generally nothing but problems. HP is alright if you have to go with a pre build machine. They will get the job done. Though they generally are bloated with spyware and things like that when you buy them. All pre builts are like that. You'll have to get rid of those or else you'll lose quite a bit of performace.

I agree, my parents recently bought a computer via Emachine's and they've had nothing but problems[even the 'spyware remover' seems to cause more issues]

i have an emachines laptop and havent had any problems with it, its been great

I like the hp, they may be cheap but they work good for me... what i've used for about 4 years now hasn't let me down yet
