Hi all, I've been posting a lot in the computer forums lately... hehe Anyway, I have Verizon Yahoo! DSL and it comes with a free security "suite" that comes with Antivirus by Computer Associates, Email Protection, Parental Controls, Pop-up Blocker, All-in-One Security Dashboard and anti-spy.

Anyway, should I use this or the Mcafee antivirus that comes with my new Dell laptop? Thanks for any input!

I would always go with the more trusted solution, I've never used yahoo's security/antivirus software and probably won't. I'd stick with mcafee or symatec. Seem to have a better history behind them.
    Just my opinion though.

Well, I have actually decided to go with Avast! and SpwareBlaster, as recommended in a different forum. I actually really like all of Avast!'s features and it works well, I will uninstall McAfee and all the other crapware on my laptop once it comes and will install these programs on that as well.

Avast seems to work pretty well for me at home. I'm also running Bitdefender simultaneously. Not sure if that helps, but I feel better.

After my issues with Norton, I may never go back to a big name Antivirus.

And I really dislike any free software that comes with/from Yahoo. It seems so bulky.

HAha, nah googlepacks good, you dont have to install norton or anything the pack downloads and installs all itself in the background. Just run live update after to get the latest defs.

Does it come with the full version or trial? My laptop came today and it's not too bad. But I still need to install antivirus... Avast or Norton?

I always thought unerase was an oxymoron.. shouldn't it be "Norton Recreator"
