Re: Help Please Urgently!!!
You'll need to take your phone to a store (Cingular, Verizon, whoever your service provider is) and have them flash the phone's software. I had the same thing happen to me with my LG phone except it was while downloading a ringtone. If you want to try something else first, you could take the battery out for half an hour to let the phone reset, but most likely you'll have to take it in to be looked at.

Re: Help Please Urgently!!!
Ouch, sorry I should have paid more attention to the post! That's a tough one, if all it was doing is downloading, it shouldn't have messed up your computer to lose power. Were you installing any software or running any maintenance like defragmenter or virus scans? My mother-in-law's computer lost power once while it was installing software, corrupted all the system files, and wouldn't turn on afterward. Hopefully that's not your problem, it took a whole day and a lot of hassle to fix!
Assuming you have Windows XP, you should start hitting F8 as soon as you turn on the comp when you see a BIOS screen. When you get to the advanced startup menu, try starting with "the most recent settings that worked". If that doesn't help, see if it will let you start in safe mode. I'm also going to move this thread to the Computers forum where it belongs... I assumed it was a phone problem, being in the Motorola forum.

Re: Help Needed Urgently Please!!
Assuming U have windows XP
On your computer click on start / run . in the run box type "msconfig" without the quotes. Click on the launch system restore tab. click on restore my computer to an earlier time radio button and click next. Select a date and time before you did the download.
Ps. you should have posted this in the computer threads
hope this helps, RingerLast edited by ringmyrazr; 08-24-2006 at 12:38 PM.

Re: Help Please Urgently!!! (Computer keeps rebooting!)
The joys of windows.
How to turn off Auto Reboot in XP
Right click on My Computer
Select Properties
Select the Advanced Tab->Startup & Recovery section
Select the Settings button
uncheck "Automatically restart" Apply".
This will give you a blue error screen instead of rebooting when there's an error, so if you do this, and get a blue screen of death, Its a problem with windows itself.

Ahh! BSOD!
Don't worry, now instead wondering why it is automatically rebooting, you will know it's slowly dying
Try to do a system restore then turning off automatic reboot... hopefully that will stop it from happening.
