Hello everybody, thanks for any assistance in advance..
I have to buy my first cellphone, for a new job. The feature I gotta have is the ability to connect the cellphone to a PC, and add/delete/change contacts. Eventually I'll have several hundred contacts on that phone, and there is no way I'll be hunting through twelve tiny buttons to enter data.
Some phones Ive looked at (on Verizon) either dont have this feature, or say you have to spend extra $$ on third party software to make it work. The samsung SCH-A930 is one example.
Don't care about Web, Email, Chat, Video, Music, etc.. features at all. Just need a dial tone. Is this PC Connection feature I want common? Or only found on more expensive models? Is using third party software neccessary for most folks using the lower end phones?
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks again.

Well, welcome to the cell phone industry and this site! I'm looking through this and thinking your best bet would be a Smart Phone. What provider are you looking for?
Here's a list you may like... (look at Phone Finder - search database of cell phone specs & features (Phone Scoop) for more)
Samsung i730 (Verizon)
Samsung i870 (Verizon)
Motorola Q (Verizon)
Treo 700w (Verizon)
these are some nice phones that should fit what you're looking for. Need help/further explination, just let us know

Motorola's are also an excellent choice if a smartphone/PDA phone isn't your cup of tea. Motorola's have lots of connectivity software available for them.

When you do a search on Phone Scoop, use it only to get an idea of each cell phone. The information on Phone Scoop is not 100% accurate.
