Microsoft should have just issued 2 editions, One for the Home User, and one for the Business user.

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
I'm satisfied with my XP, and I do not want to switch to anything other. Vista is a pretty new Os and there is still plenty of bugs

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
Honestly, I believe that Vista is a LOT more intuitive than XP. It's well laid out and very easy for beginners to learn how to use a computer. Aside from that you won't see many functional changes (other then it uses a crapload of resources and pretty slow). Further, all the editions (basic, premium, business, ultimate) are all aimed to hit different users and I think it does so effectively. :-)

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
I use vista premium and I enjoy my experience. It isnt as stable as XP due to driver support but I think the interface is improved

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
I have vista ultimate and even though it has SOME graphic driver bugs every now and then(gamer) I love it. Looks much better than XP and it's definitely easier to get around and do things. I don't use any major programs so i don't know how bug issues with them stand but as an every day user that games regularly i love it.

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
I currently use Windows Vista Home Premium edition and I find that it has all of the features I need, as my laptop only has 1GB of ram.
They should really stop making more verisons though and just upgrade what's already out.

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
I agree, many people are not really that happy with vista. So they should just stop making more choices for it.

Truly speaking I am fully satisfied with XP,vista though enjoys more features but I don't find it very convenient.

Re: Vista - Too many Choices
Yeah.. There are many editions which makes the Vista much confusing... Bill Gates is a jerk!
Vista is now a great OS as per features but still suffering from Hardware hunger.
Vista's launch was a foolish attempt coz it was not compatible with hardware and had many flaws!
But Microsoft learned quickly and released SP1 for it. It seriously fixed Vista!
Microsoft is constantly fixing the flaws as per the latest technology!
And now Microsoft is again doing a foolish attempt of Windows 7!
Its thinking to maintain Vista n 7 for the future. But as per my opinion it should vanish XP and Vista, and should work on 7 much more intensely!

I used Vista Ultimate and i cant do half the stuff in it that i can do in XP......hence vista is gone and XP is here to stay............save your money and stick with the tried and tested.
