    Re: XP and Loving it

With SP1, I want them to make it somewhat less resource hungry, and sort of more in the direction of open source.....not completely, but atleast some customization.
Also, increased startup and shut down speeds would be great

    Re: XP and Loving it

I am using XP Ultimate (XPU)
Its a OS that combines XP, windows 7, Vista, and free download
I deleted the PC tablet, media center, AVG free, and Nero 8 from the ISO and installed.
Then installed my own AVG, Nero 7 basic.

xp is a little buggy so i'll have to use a vista or windows 7 pc to see if it's buggy too.

    Re: XP and Loving it

My next os will likely be w7 but only after I win the lotto and upgrade to something with atleast a core 2 duo processor. Till then its the good 'ole xp for me. It started rough but it sure enough matured with service packs to a pretty secure os.

Not to Vista, but you should try Windows 7, or even Linux!!

    Re: XP and Loving it

I've had XP for quite awhile now. I've had no problems with it so I haven't upgraded. I've never understood why people, who use their computer for occasional web browsing decide to upgrade there OS. Stick to what you know right!
