Are you operating behind a firewall??
if so ...try and connect in passive mode
If that doesn't work and you are on messenger or ICQ...send me a pm with your contact and i will work thru it with you

To set up for use behind a firewall and default connection doesn't work, follow the following steps for the relevent packages
Direct Connect:
Start Direct Connect
select the settings button in the menu Bar
Go to the connection tab
Select "passive"
For DC++
Go to FILE|Settings
Select the general Tab
select 'passive"
That's it

I think I'm getting closer.
To connect to hub you have to connect through dc++, in manual connect address in public hubs window, right?
I typed in the address and it said the following-
***connecting to
***connection refused by target machine
Its not asking me for a passwordLast edited by voice of god; 08-29-2002 at 11:38 PM.

You could also go into favourites and add the hub in there ...already setup with your username and password.
Give that a go..
NOTE...the hub appears to have gone down...
(same time every day...what's with that?????)
WIll have to check it out in about 90 mins time

Have tried putting hub in favourites but when I click on it, comes up as TCP error.
Its the "already set up with username and password" that I dont get. I dont see where I get a chance to do that.
Can you do a step by step guide for connection?

Oh, favourites as in favourite hubs in dc++(not in internet explorer), I get it now.
I tried it and filled in username and password, but it still came up as-
***connecting to
***connection refused by target machine
I will connect to the hub, oh yes, I will connect to the hub.

I'm trying to login to the HUB - but I keep getting an error
It comes up with:
Personality Error!
Dave Hates you - F*ck OFF...
Then it reformats my hard drives.
Is this something with the HUB, or am I doing something wrong?[.home] [.faq] [.search] [.active] [.chat] [.hitrax]
