    Which OS is best for/at what?

    If you mean as a desktop PC I would say windows 2000 or windows xp.

    We use Windows 2000 Pro at work and it's good...better than Millennium which was a pile of ****e !

    :: fixed *****ing for 'Linux' in Poll options ::

    It really does depend on what you're using your system for. For servers, programming/development - Linux (hands down), for graphics and Audio - MAC... For developing high blood pressure and decreasing the amount of hair you have - definately use Windows.

    I use dual boot on my main machine (Windows 2000 Pro) and Linux Mandrake. My (server) machine is running Linux RedHat 9.0 at the moment, but I'm probably going to switch back to Mandrake or to Gentoo on that too. My other machine (games for the kids) is running Windows XP Corp...

    RedHat, Mandrake, SuSe, Gentoo, Slackware, ETC are all distribution of Linux.

    Dos ... So simple, hardly taxes your system at all, I've never seen it crash... definitely DOS lol

    Win98SE for gaming, Win2Kpro for development.

    Linux for free~

    and WinXPpro for everything...NOT.

    I like linux for everything except playing games. Since most game manufacturers design based on Windows.

    I use Windows 2k SP 3 - no problems so far!
    Life is like a buffet... Sample everything then decide what you want.
