thats what someone in my class uses. the only problem there is it comes up "From: pr268-02 (or which ever machine u happen to be on) TO pr268-10 (or which ever machine they happen to be on)" so you get in deep donkey balls if you get caught either way

Heh, I'm 16 and I know just about as much as my school's
computer Admin. I can sit in class and talk to a bunch of my
friends using the NET SEND command. Windows 98 SE comes
with a LAN messanger system. You have to add it off the CD.
I can't remember what catigory or anything its from.

Try trillian.
From:
http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/trillian/index.html
It is an instant messenger that will work with:
MSN Messenger
AIM
ICQ
IRC
Yahoo groups
So in one application you can chat to your mates, whatever they use.
And best of all, it is a free download!Cheers,
Laz.
