In case you're a BlackBerry enthusiast and you happen to own one of RIM's devices then you're in for a treat. The president and CEO of RIM Thorsten Heins has officially announced that the company will release the highly-anticipated BlackBerry 10 update in multiple countries at once, starting with next year, on January 30th to be more precise.

The CEO has also revealed that alongside the new operating system, RIM will unveil two brand new BlackBerry devices on the very same date. No details regarding these two gadgets have been revealed so far, other than the fact that one of them is going to be a full-touch handset. Judging by the reports that have continued to surface during the past few months, it's safe to assume that these two new BlackBerry devices will be the alleged L and N-series, the former being a full-touchscreen device whereas the latter is fitting in the more traditional QWERTY-ed RIM category.

As for the new BlackBerry 10 OS, some of the new features that we'll get to experience include a new user interface, a new notification center, BlackBerry Balance and the new, innovative BlackBerry on-screen keyboard (featured on the L-Series) which promises to adapt itself according to your writing style.

Back in May, RIM has released a video depicting the upcoming on-screen keyboard and it might've suffered some changes ever since, but in case you're wondering how it may look like in the end, we've posted a YouTube link below. I personally find the "text suggestions" method to be quite elegant.

I suppose we'll find out what RIM has been working on soon enough. Are you excited?
