Motorola officially announced the DROID RAZR MAXX on 1/9. Today at CES 2012 we got to play with it a bit. The RAZR MAXX has all the same features of the original Droid RAZR, but is a little bit thicker and has a battery with almost double the mAh! 1700mAh to 3300mAh! Motorola boasted at 21 hour talk time giving it "the longest battery life of any smartphone". Unfortunately there is no release date set as of yet.



Here's a quick rundown of features and differences with the Droid RAZR where noted:
  • Android 2.3.5 (will be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • Dual-core 1.2Mhz processor
  • 4.3" 540 x 960 qHD screen
  • 3300mAh battery (vs 1700mAh)
  • 21.50 hours talk time (vs 12.5)
  • 379 hours stand-by time (vs 204)
  • 0.35" (8.99mm) thickness (vs 0.28" (7.1mm))
  • 5.11oz (145g) (vs 4.48 oz (127 g))
