Nokia has been pretty busy lately, not only with the unveiling of the low-end, budget friendly Asha 501, but also with the partial unveiling of the high-end Nokia Lumia 928 which is expected to hit the US market through Verizon. But these two handsets are not the only ones to come out of the Finnish manufacturer's factory gates lately. There's also the Lumia 925, another flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone that managed to steal the spotlight roughly 24 hours ago.

Although the moniker "925" hasn't really appeared in the form of leaks and rumors in the past, the Nokia Lumia 925 hasn't actually arrived as a huge surprise. This gadget has actually got leaked several times in the past, under the name of "Catwalk"; the Windows Phone 8 flagship that was rumored to arrive with an all-aluminum body. Unfortunately, that's not really the case and the only visible aluminum part on the 925 is the frame that goes around the edges of the device. The rest of the device has been build out of polycarbonate, which isn't bad in the end, but it's not at attractive as an all-aluminum case.

All in all, the handset still looks unique and quite good. It also weighs less than the Lumia 920 (139 grams) and it's also thinner (8.5 mm). Hardware-wise the handset packs a 4.5 inch 768 x 1280 AMOLED display boasting ClearBlack technology, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, with no option of expanding. The package is being powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and LTE as well as HSPA+ connectivity is supported. Same as the Lumia 920, the 925 comes with wireless charging capabilities out of the box, so it really is a very well-equipped smartphone.

Nevertheless, one of the most attractive features of the Lumia 925 is its 8.7 megapixel camera, featuring Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization and a brand new camera app that includes a ton of new modes. There's also a so-called Smart Camera app which allows the user to capture pictures in 5 MP mode (for various reasons), Best Shot, Motion Blur shot, Best Face mode, Action Shot and more.

In terms of price and availability, the Nokia Lumia 925 is expected to hit the shelves sometime in June. The gadget will set you back EUR 469 (or roughly $616) unlocked. Since the rumored Nokia Catwalk was rumored to be T-Mobile's Windows Phone 8 flagship, I bet you're wondering whether or not the rumors have turned out to be correct. Fortunately the answer is "yes" and the Lumia 925 is set to go on sale at T-Mobile in the US, though details about pricing and availability have not been revealed yet.
