One of the most anticipated smartphones of the year is of course the upcoming Nexus 5. It's no mystery that Google is the creator of the Android platform, and once every year the search engine giant launches a new smartphone that introduces a new Android OS iteration. There are tons of things to love about a Google handset, such as timely updates, a vanilla Android experience, great hardware specs and a very competitive price. All that being said, it's understandable why there are so many gadget enthusiasts out there, waiting for a new Nexus smartphone.

While the 5th device in the series is not yet official, there have been tons of leaks regarding its whereabouts and specifications. The most recent leak comes in the form of a 7-minute long HD video, depicting the handset on all its sides.

What we can gather from this video is that the Nexus 5 appears to be built out of a similar material as the Nexus 7 2013. The back panel seems rubberized, and almost all of the design cues that we've seen before in leaked photos are present in the video as well, with a few exceptions. One of the biggest discrepancies is that the unit shown in this clip does not have the "NEXUS" logo on the back panel. This leads us to believe that the handset in question could be an earlier build. Software-wise, we're getting the same impression. We're not seeing any new features that are expected to be present on Android 4.4 KitKat, such as the new app tray icon or the camera button on the lock screen.

With that in mind, while the video below gives us an opportunity to take a very close look at what we might expect from the Nexus 5 in general, the device depicted in the clip isn't really the final product. Check it out and see for yourself.

The Nexus 5 is expected to be unveiled by the end of this month and released on the market sometime in November. Supposedly, the handset boasts a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM.
