Re: Cricket Users in Houston?
Thats how metroPCS worked out when it came to Dallas. At first their network was small and weak with dropped calls left and right, now I don't even remember the last time I dropped a call. I'm sure the same will be with Cricket and Houston, there will be many customer complaints at first and then when they starting building up their network it will start replacing most people's home phones.

I'm thinking about getting Cricket. I've been with sprint since about '99 or 2000, but here lately they've been dogging me out. We haven't had a house phone in almost a year, maybe longer. Need to get that re hooked up also. My next move will probably be to cricket.

Re: Cricket Users in Houston?
I just got on Cricket and I too am relieved after going over minutes every month. I ditched my home phone last year because it was too much. Can anyone out there tell me about roaming with Cricket? I cannot find any reference to costs if going out of coverage area and no explanation about it. I don't want any surprises on my next bill. I don't go out of coverage area. Also, I've had alot of dropped calls even while sitting at home using it with showing a weak signal (one bar). Thanks.

Re: Cricket Users in Houston?
oh yeah! roaming is when you go outside your service provider's network and your phone searches for and picks up signal from another carriers network. you make a call and the other carrier charges your service provider for handling that call for you, your service provider then bills you. Usaully this is out of town trips. call 611 on your phone or go on line to cricket to buy 30 minuye blocks of roaming time.

Re: Cricket Users in Houston?
I just found out that where we live in Katy we receive NO signal. So now my son is with his new phone, $45 plan, and it doesn't get a single bar even standing out in the middle of the street. We live at the corner of the westpark tollroad and Grand Parkway. Cricket should at least advise you about their coverage based on your zip code on your billing.
