Ok, this is totally bizarre. Starting about a month ago, I have been
getting a tremendous number of wrong # calls. They come in batches :
none for 10-12 hours, then in the space of 20 minutes I'll get a half
dozen. The numbers are all from the Florida area code, all of the
callers are Spanish speakers. Several of them have been kind enough to
talk to me, and the number they are calling has absolutely no relation
to my cell phone #, so I'm almost positive it's not a typo on their end.

Since this started around the time of the hurricanes, my best guess is
that something related to the weather or confusion there has caused some
switching software to malfunction and start routing calls to my
    cellphone by accident.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Should I call Cingular and
complain? (I can just imagine trying to explain this to a level 1
    customer support person...)

Are they Cingular clients? Did even one of them give you their number?
Is a number showing up in CID on your end? Of course you should try
to get help so your minutes won't be nibbled away.

I'd say if you can find the time, call Cingular and let them know about
this. They may not really be able to help, but if there's some sort of
major problem or something, they'd want to know about it.

I had something similar happen to me when
my phone was stolen. The person who took
it spoke spanish and was calling numbers in
Florida and they were calling him back and
even sending SMS. I luckily speak good
spanish and was able to straighten out the
problem. However, this may not resemble
    your case.
