Have been pleased with Cingular HSPSA/UMTS data service using the
Sierra Wireless AC860 card in my notebook. Would like to use the card
in my desktop but it has no PCMCIA slot. Found a PCI to PCMCIA adapter
card but having the PCMICA card access on the rear is awkward. A web
search for USB to PCMCIA adapters leads to a few isolated references
that end in vaporware when pursued.
I guess I could configure some kind of (W)LAN between the desktop and
notebook and leave the card in the notebook....somewhat of hassle for
what should have a simpler solution.
Anybody know of a PCMCIA solution for desktops?
Tnx

Could you elaborate on "pleased", such as where are you (approx)? what is
your download speed? How's the reception/speed in other areas (ex. airport)?
Thanks,
Igor
