Is there no way to add SMS ringtones at all?.

To send ringtones you must use the email function or MMS.

AFAIK, there isn't a way to use a ringtone for SMS messages, you're
stuck with the awful SE defaults.
The z600 (great phone, like a clamshell T610 with a better screen) is
the same, but can anyone advise whether this is available on the T630?

Bit of a "wrong answer" here, so I will clarify:
For SMS, I do not believe that you can define your own tones
To send actual ringtones, you can also use IR, bluetooth, WAP

I moved away from my t68i in search for a better phone. i really wanted the
p900 but it was way too expensive so i couldnt afford it. Now here i am
sitting happily with my panasonic x70. (which u can customise the ringtones
for sms's!!)

Can you also do SMS blocking based on the sender or completely witch SMS
reception off?

I would *REALLY* like to have that... Don't know of phone that does that (even
with added software)

has anyone tried the mophone.com service? they support mms on and ringotones on T610.
