Hi,
I have T-Mobile with unlimited T-Zones so I can use as much Internet
as I want. I'd like to get a Java app that will take a picture, then
send it via HTTP to a web site. I want it to take pictures as fast as
it can and stream them out. I'll write software on the server side
(CGI, webservice, whatever) to collect the pictures and store them or
make an avi movie out of them.
The idea is to be able to point the phone at something and then watch
that something remotely. Or, easily create a visual log of every place
I've been by putting the phone on my shirt with the camera pointing
away from me.
Does an app like this exist?
I'm a programmer so I could probably write it. Does the J2ME support
talking to the camera?
Why is this a bad idea? Why will it not work? If I wrote this, would
people use it for free? Would they buy it?
THANKS!
John

at least here in Germany unlimited T-Zones means unlimited use of the
T-Mobile T-Zones Websites and does NOT include free use of wap sites
outside the zone.

How long do you expect your battery to last doing this? More than 4
hours? Forget it.

Remember to inform the "watched" people BEFORE they enter the arena
:-)

Not sure, best bet is to ask SONY.

It's not really a bad idea. I am still looking for an app to use the
cam as a webcam via bluetooth for Netmeeting or something similar
(over my normal dialup, not the mobile).
