I live in the US and need to update my SE K700i' s firmware to R2L...currently have R2E. After I had called SE here in the States I cursed myself for wasting my time. Not only they could not tell me anything about firmware, but it turned out that there is only one service center in the entire US where you could send your phone + $40 for updates. My response that that's a brand new phone and should be upgraded for free for a year didn't go anywhere.
I'll be in Germany shortly and plan to upgrade in a service center there. Please, please, post a list of german SE service centers with their addresses and phone numbers....pretty pleaaase
If a full list is not availbale, I am interested in the service centers in Berlin, Hamburg, and Nuernberg.
Also, do you know if a phone purchase receipt is necessary for the upgrade. I only have a PayPal printout
I would really appreciate your help!!!

If you speak German, try the SE site

should be all you need

No, no....this is a link to a list of dealers (such as Vodaphone, Orange, etc) in Germany and I have an unbranded phone.
I need a list of Sony Ericsson service centers in Germany or at least in Berlin, Hamburg, and Nuernberg.
I would really appreciate your help, German friends

Re: GERMAN SE users - Please help :)
Did a google - not that much info on service centers. Nor is there a list on
the SE germany site.
I suggest you give SE in Germany a call and ask for official locations.
Could not find phone nr online, but try via intl inquiries.
Of, send a mail through this form:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?...=ph1_2&zone=ph
Good luck.

Woaaah! Thanks, Ralf! Awesome information...much more than what I've found out so far....which is nothing.
Thanks for the information!!!
Do you happen to know whether they would upgrade the firmware at these locations for free. The official SE service centers are supposed to do that for a full year after date of purchase.
Best regards!
