K700 - phone (security) lock problem

Hi,

I've owned several E/// and SE phones over the years and all of them had a security feature.
The phone could be locked, so it would ask for a code when starting up.
This feature could be set to "ask always" and "ask when new SIM is inserted".

Well, my non-branded K700 (R2L001) always asks for the code when booting (also asks for the SIM code), no mather is the "phone lock"
is set to "auto" or "always".

Can this be changed with an update, or just a thing which one has to live with?
It doesn't bother me that much, just curious why they have even bothered to give a a choice menu, if the result is the same, no
mather the choice you make.

I had the same problem with my k700i, but only when my SIM was inserted.
With other SIMs, the feature worked as supposed.
Seems to be some sort of bug.
