Umm, just saw yours
From what I've read: don't expect the camera to be as good as the S700's. As
I got a Voda branded K700i last Nov, I'll be far more interested in its
replacement /this/ Nov.

Build quality is shocking, all of ours (4 in total) ( and every other one
I've tried) end up with creaking hinges around the silver barrel.
Camera is OK, but I expected better
Battery life again is shocking - Expect to charge it every day!
Talk time is about 2 hours at the best
HUGE LIMITATION - You can't play back music (mp3s) via a bluetooth
headset..only a wired one! - Don't know if this is the same on other
phones, but I expected to be able to do this.
Bluetooth implementation is very buggy, often losing connection and
freezing the bluetooth functionality, requiring a power down to restore.
Video calling only works if both parties are in strong 3G areas..normally
outside
Signal retention reminds me of the early One2One days. Numerous call drops
All in all very disappointed with my 6 weeks use and have arranged with
Vodafone to have the contracts cancelled cost-free (long story, but they
mucked up my account) and get a refund on the phones.

No batteries, cradles or anything specific to the V800 only generic SE
things.

Odd. I have the V800 specific holder (HCH-40) for the handsfree
(HCA-200) in my car.

Well, according to Sony Ericsson UK, a holder hasn't even been designed
yet!! Also a search for a HCH-40 on www.sonyericsson.com produces no
results!!

Here are two photos of a my V800 in the HCH-40 holder. The first photo
shows the V800 open, the second shows the V800 closed.

Here are two photos of the packaging. The first one shows the outside of
the folded paper. The second photo shows the inside with the assembly
instructions.

The HCH-40 has clearly been designed, manufactured, sold and bought.
I don't know why Sony Ericsson UK doesn't know that the HCH-40 is
available.

Which just goes to show what a clueless lot Sony Ericsson UK are!!
Still doesn't explain though why there is no mention of it on
www.sonyericsson.com

The display of my closed V800 shows "Vodafone SE" so my guess is
that I am in Sweden even though the January weather, until now,
hints at a location closer to the equator.

How is the V800 held in the HCH-40 as I can't see any spring-loaded bits?

If you look on the back of the V800 you will find two (almost)
rectangular depressions in the silver part, just below the hinge.
The HCH-40 has two hooks that hook into these depressions. The
V800 is released by pushing the two release buttons in the left
and right upper corners of the HCH-40.

My battery is lasting a bit longer, got about 2 days battery with light
usage of phone functions (play some games, 10min phonecall, several
alarms every morning - need some time to get in gear...)
I got a charger in my car, so the standby time is not an issue for me.
I never use the camera, took some pics to test it and it's indeed as
crappy as I have expected (normally using a konica/minolta A2 digital
camera...)
Never (as of yet) have I lost a phonecall, coverage seems to be better
here in switzerland - I have made some longer phonecalls while driving
in my car, the quality seemed to me about the same as on the regular GSM
networks.
Bluetooth integration sucks IMO, especially because the phone keeps the
connection to my headset. - So i'm no longer able to get the
file-transfer working from my laptop computer (have called SE hotline,
but they say that "this is normal with all SE phones" - even after I
have told them that this HAS been working on my T610...)
