Hi
I understand there is 'no way' to disable the camera sound on the k700i. I
have tried putting it in silent and meeting mode and it sill maked the
really loud and annoying noise. Sony say it is a security feature to stop
people taken pics where they shouldnt...however it is very annoying and
means you can't take photos without disturbing people.
Surely there is a hack for this, some way it can be removed using a data
cable or something.....
someone out there is bound to be able to do it....
Heres hoping...
Cheers

I was thinking of taking photos at advents/performances, where such a noise
would disturb people. Anyway I worked out how to do it.

You worked it out? Please tell us. That sounds is so cheesy, I would
like to get rid of it.

Thank people in advance? Thanking or cursing them afterwards at least
gives some feedback!

It sounds like the same method as used to unlock a phone using a purchased
credit, logging on to a server & using the minimum of an unlocking cable &
installing s/w. Beyond that, I don't know. Part of the firmware is being
modified. You may even find someone on the web who will do it for a price,
it's a case of doing further research, I'm afraid.

It's a flashing tool written by Laser. There are two distinct versions of
it - the first (http://www.setool.net/) works on a logging basis where you
buy logs for a central server which allow you to flash your phone using a
cable. The second is an unlimited addon module for Twister
(http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...0dc87&t=183602)
where you can flash the phone and considerably more.
