    hi

i somewhat grilled my phone with davinciteam...
it just doesn't startup anymore (nothing in the display).
I can flash it but the finalisation gives the message 'error: block not
accepted' and this line is repeated again and again. I stopped after 30
    minutes at most.
I used up nearly all my credits (they should do something about
substracting credits to unsuccessfull events) solving this problem now,
    no luck so far
anybody any idea what I could try?

The setool2 and twister is ordered, but that might take some weeks to
    arrive...

    regards

    Patrick

This is one of the reasons we've never offered a logging solution - too many
variables and way too unreliable unfortunately.

If it's ordered and paid for it should be with you in a few days, not weeks.
Any decent authorised distributor should be able to get it to you within a
week at the outside - we regularly sell Twisters from the UK and send them
to the USA in less than a week!

.... no idea wether the logging is part of the problem... by the way,
just yesterday (at least I saw it yesterday) update service for the v800
    appeared on the SE homepage...

Maybe. It certainly depends on how long customs hold it back...

True, but we usually don't have problems with customs on outbound orders
(and we ship all over the place). We have had problems with the original
deliveries being stopped for a couple of days on their way to us though.

I'll see. But now, the phone seems to be totally dead (can't flash it,
no reaction when I press the power button). Is it possible that the
battery is empty and can't be loaded because of the state of the phone?

It's remotely possible, but I doubt it very much. The charging circuit
isn't dependent on the firmware of the phone.

I think it has something to do with the battery anyways. When I connect
the charger now, the LED goes on red solid.
When I then disconnect the battery and put it in again, sometimes the
phone starts booting (of course still without display, but at least it's
not totally dead). I'll look for a replacement battery and try again
(resp. try to charge mine in another phone)
a guy from davinciteam had the same idea (battery) and told me to put
the charger on the dss-25... that somewhat works as well, but seems not
    to be stable enough.

No. It's the phone that doesn't accept certain blocks anymore... even
with 9600 bps . Some guy that seems a lot about flashing was saying
something about that I have to reflash the erom ... on the setool forum
there is quite a thread about dead v800, so I don't seem to be the only one.
