This is probably a reall dumb question but will a V800 work on non-3G
    networks with an ordinary SIM?

Reason I ask is I'm looking for something to replace my Z600 which got
    smashed. I got a Motorola V3 as a replacemnt/upgrade but can't really get on
with it so I'm thinking of selling and buying another SE.
The V800 looks neat, I don't need or want the 3G data or video calling.
Alternative what's the general opinion on the S700i?

    Cheers
    Kev

It's fine with a normal Vodaphone 'non 3G' Sim, but I've no experience
of using it on another network though.

    i use a SE700i, and i have no problems with it, i upgraded from a Z600 to a
K700i and found the screen too small but the screen on the S700 is one of the
best i have ever seen, i use a Mac so i can't comment on PC - phone
connections but i love my S700! operationally it is about the same as a K700
but the best feature by far is the speaker phone.

(on a mac it integrates and works seamlessly )

As do all other S-E Phones. The V800 integrates with the Mac
excellently, from sending SMSs from the computer, to Caller-Display
windows popping up when the phone rings, and seamless file-browsing.
