I am planning to get a 3mobile pay as you go sim so I can use Skype
when I am away on holiday. My son is prepared to lend me his Sony
Ericsson K800i. Is it possible to use Skype on this mobile?
Cheers

How?
Do I just put the 3mobile sim in, or do I need to install some
software. If so, what software?

Yes, you need to download and install ISKOOT java application from
http://www.iskoot.com
But please do remember that Skype is never fully free of charge with a
mobile phone with two exceptions:
1. with a 3Skype phone and a Three service which includes Skype
2. with a wlan equipped phone in a hotspot
otherwise there will be the cost of a local call.

Sorry, it seems that you can't download a useable version of ISKOOT to
use with SE K800 fron their web site any more.
But you can download a W880 version (also works with K800) from
http://www.getjar.com/products/15530/iSkootforSkype
Good luck.
