Very much identical except the t300 has polyphonic ringtones, and the t68
has bluetooth.

yup, they are pretty much identical in features. the advantage of the
t68i is it's design and bluetooth functionality but the t300 has
polyphonic sound, mophun games, java.

Also, I forgot that the camera attachments have "limited functionality" with
the t68, whatever that means.

Thanks for all of the replies.
It appears to me that the T300 is a better one for me (and it's also a
better buy! I mean here it's cheaper than the T68i).

The "limited Functionality" on the T68i is not having effects or zoom.
BUT that was solved in the latest 3 or so firmware versions.
That leaves poly tones and games for the T300
BT (and calendar?) for the T68i

Oh. The effects are stupid and a digital zoom on an image that is 640x480
or less is kind of useless. Bah humbug.

My t300 has some kind of organizer function with dated events and such.

get a t310... or even a t610 that should stop the argument.

And on that note, here's a good place to find MIDI files:

T300 does NOT have Java.
T300 (officially) doens't have a calendar. T310 has a simple calendar
function. T310 can't sync with PC. There's no easy way to edit the
phone book using a computer.
T68i has a full calendar with organizer. The organizer and the
phonebook can be sync'd with a PC using Bluetooth, infrared, or cable.
There are other minor differences in usage. T68i will not disconnect
your GPRS unless you specifically tell it to. T300 auto-disconnects
when you quit the WAP browser...

well, to clean the things up a bit ...
T300 is bigger than T68i, so if size matters ...
They're pretty close with battery lifespan, display quality, menu
usability and so on.
Well, the T300 has some major downgrades from the T68.
* there are only 3 Numbers per entry in the phonebook (5 with T68)
* there is no bluetooth
* there is no Outlook sync (this is IMHO a major cutdown)
* the T300 has less memory (while it would need more for mophun and
poly ringers)
* there is no calendar
* there is no voice dial
* there is no "remaining standby and talking time"-display
* can't find the "notice"-Menu-entry on my T300
* the LINK-menu is less flexible
and the other way around:
* T68 has no polyphonic ringers
* T68 has no support for MOPHUN-Games
have I mentioned, it's smaller? -)
Well, looking at these points, the T68 wins in every point besides
Games support (I don't need it anyway) and poly ringers.
Well, you should go for the T610, which offers all of the above AND a
built-in camera.

Re: SonyErricsson T300 and T68i, which one is better (and why)?
Thank you and everyone else who replied and offered good tips and info. From
where I am (Toronto) it appears to me the available models are T200, T300,
T68i and P800. I have not seen T310 or T610. Again T300 or T68i? A hard
decision :-)

Sort of. The t300 is about 1/4" taller and 4/100" thicker by the
measurements. Same width.
