Originally I could not get my T610 to use an email client with Orange PAYG,
an Orange shop even told me it was not possible, but if you want a monthly
account of only £xx then it will work!
Luckily an enquiry to the Orange website (contact us my email, general
enquiry) emailed me a very clear step by step procedure for setting this up
for PAYG.
It works! Admittedly with an Orange mail address, presumably it will work
for other addresses.
Doesn't say much for some shop experts though.

Phone trainers, my ass. "Orange trainers train orange customers to train
their phones", or however it goes. Maybe they should have invested more in
actually training these so-called trainers instead of advertising :-).

Re: T610 email client
I dont knwo if anyone can help me..
I have email via my own domain, and not from an ISP.
Ive tried setting up my email details on my T610 as I would on Outlook,
yet when i try to send/recieve i get a SERVER CANT BE FOUND ERROR.
Im on vodafone
my WAP settings are OK and work fine.
I set my eamil settings up like this
POP: mail.mydomainname.co.uk
SMTP: mail.mydomainname.co.uk
Username & password as specified.
Are there any special settings required, or will I have to check with
the webhost of my domain to see if the mailservers are accessible viw
my phone?
thanks for any help

If you are using GPRS you *cannot* use your SMTP server, you must use the
one provided by your service provider. For UK Vodafone, I think it is
smtp.vivazzi .co.uk
