Ok people, quick question for you. Before I demolish a brand new T610 just
to produce a dismantle guide for it, does anyone know if the screws are in
the same place as the T68, with two hidden under the aerial cover? If so,
any ideas about removing the aerial cover, as the damned thing is as tight
as hell on the one I've got here?
TIA

Re: T610 Dismantle
why don't you just look on one of the other guides on how to dismantle it?

Re: T610 Dismantle
I thought I had a link to such a web page, but I lost it. Also, the
material is no doubt copyrighted specifically to forbid you writing your own
guide, AND the info was not free.

That's a shame, only need to know how to get that damned aerial cover off.

That's fine, I had no intention of plagiarising it anyway.

That would have absolutely no legal standing whatsoever.

And charging for that information is just plainly taking the piss. I've got
loads of dismantle guides available on my site that anyone is free to use.
If they then wish to use that knowledge to write their own guide, I could
not (and would not wish to have) have any say in the matter so long as the
guide was their own work, or licenced.

I was thinking of something else. The lost web page I referred to sold
reverse-engineering guides that included info on how all the circuits worked
(or so they said, but when I say it that way it almost doesn't sound legal).

Apologies if I've left the wrong attribution on the quote -
remove the battery cover, pull out the external aerial socket plug then get
a fingernail under the aerial cover, applying a little "lift" (i.e. lift it
away from the phone body) and push/slide it towards the top of the phone -
it just slides off with a little force. Reverse to put it back.
Hope that helps
