t68i to credit card terminal hookup

Hi all,



I want to hook up my Verifone Tranz-330 credit card terminal to my T-Mobile
T68i. Does anyone have any information on:

1. What cable I'd need? (if everything else fails, I could solder a
Tranz-to-DB9(serial)-convertor.)

2. How to configure my T68i for CSD (not GPRS!) to dial in to the right
number, etc.?

3. How to configure my Tranz-330 so it will use the t68i for dialing?



If you know, or you know anyone who has done this, please let me know!

We're looking to do this for a crafts fair setup as dialing in every credit
card purchase is a big hassle.

I don't think you can use the T68i for CSD but then I may be wrong. I had no
luck with it myself. I am told that some service providers support this by
routing the GSM/GPRS call through a switch to a bank of virtual modems. So
you're not really dialing into the other network but functionally it appears
so.

Other than that I can't help much.

You can use the T68i for CSD *if* your carrier supports CSD and *if* your
account is provisioned for CSD.
