I have a T616 (identical to the 610 other than the network coverage im
assuming) and i am having a ell of a time with the microphone picking up
background noise. I used to have a nokia and could hold conversations say
in my car with the windows open - walking on sidewalks on fairly busy
streets etc. this phone even in relatively quiet areas (aka.. A deserted
parking garage) makes it very difficult to hear me on the other end. I have
also been told that i speak way too loud on the phone and have to pretty
much whisper when i use the phone for the people to hear me normally on the
other end. Is this a physical trait of this phone, or should i bring it in
for service?
Thanks!

I was tolf by a friend only this afternoon that I'm the only person he has
to turn the volume down on his phone for; I've got a T610, he's got a Nokia
7210. I've known the guy for 5 years, but he says this 2 weeks after I get a
T610. Coincidence?

Re: T616/610 microphone
I've heard that revision 1 of the T610's was having problems with hissing
and noise, maybe this is what you're experiencing? Though I'm sorry to say
that I don't really know how to make out a rev. 1 phone from a later rev.

Re: T616/610 microphone
Not really hissing or noise so much as my voice being drowned out by
background noise. I may have to just pick up a headset that has a decent
microphone...
