Re: Difference between T610 & T616
The 610 uses the 900Mhz freq and the 616 uses 850. Other than that I can't
find any differences.

Thanks, but exactly how is that different? Is one better then the other?

It depends on your network. If your provider uses a 900 MHz network, a 850
MHz phone will not work
and vice versa.

The T616 is for the North American market and covers the 850MHz GSM band
that is used there instead of 900MHz in Europe and the rest of the world.
It's not better, just different because of the different allocations in
the US radio spectrum.

Mostly it depends on your geographical location. Where are you (country) and
which network?

Re: Difference between T610 & T616
That's an interesting chart. I am curious to know why the 610 shows over 800
mins of talk time but the 616 and 618 show only 300 mins. Also, how can the
610 have more talk time than standby time? Doesn't make sense.
Lastly, I understand the difference between the 610 and 616, but what the
heck is the 618? From the chart, I can't really see any reason to have this
phone. The 610 and 618 seem to be identical from the chart except for talk
time and why would you want a phone that is identical except that it has
less than 1/2 the talk time of the 610?

It is because standby time is in hours and talk time is in minutes. Makes
sense now

The T618 is like the T610 but for the Chinese market. It is different
as the Chinese writing system requires more memory and a different way
to input text.
The T616 is like the T610 but for the USA market. It is different
as the US frequency allocation plan is different.

If you only speak Chinese then you certainly would like to have
this phone.

Interesting, it is hard to tell this information from the chart that was
posted.

Re: Difference between T610 & T616
Yes, I also didn't understand what the difference between the T610 and the
T618 was at first. They should perhaps print out the target markets in the
charts also, though I eventually came to the conclusion that it had to be
for the asian market.
