    Hi to all,
Could someone let me know if this is a phone problem or a network
    problem?

Orange blame Ericsson, Ericsson blame Orange...

all I know is I should have GPRS, the provision is there on my account, the
little wedge is on the bottom of the screen, and despite using profiles set
by both ericsson's configurator and Orange's data services department, and a
home made profile, nothing seems to work...

Also, how do I find out my firmware revision??

    Thanks in advance.

Have you phoned orange and got them to activate your GPRS? if not phone them
up (General enquiries), and get to the right operator. Then ask the operator
you want to activate your GPRS (and mms if your phone supports it). they
should send you a GPRS profile and 3 text alerts. Wait for all the text
alerts to come in and then delete them. When your profile comes in go to
your wap settings (the page just before you log onto wap) and select wap
profile and then select the profile they sent you. After all this restart
    your phone.
note they'll give you instructions from the phone, also phone them up
from a landline it makes things easier. Another thing ask to activate your
mms at the same time (if you have mms). The same thing happened to me, also
the blue line at the bottom of the screen is there even if you haven't
    activated your account.

To find out your firmware version press >*<*<<*<* and it should be in one of
the menus (can't remember which one(something like services or about),
Note: this code is for all sony ericsson phones and you are using it at your
own risk as you may mess up your phone.
    > = push right on the joystick and < means push left.

    Hope this helps
