Hi!
I can't figure out how to download pictures from the phone to the computer
via this cable.
My retailer didn't know either.
Can it be done ? If not, I think it's incredibly stupid.
If anyone knows some 3'rd party free programs who achieve this, please let
me know.
Regards from disgruntled user in Norway.

I don't think you can, probably because no one (I know about) has
written file transfer s/w to do it yet. I say that as a serial port user
who rather expected SE's Image Editor to both d/l & u/l pictures.
People here have mentioned it's possible with Bluetooth, so I bought a
BT dongle & can confirm it allows drag & drop of images, sounds & themes
via its bundled BT s/w. If you decide to go the the BT route, check the
included BT s/w allows file transfer. The other important function is
serial port emulation to allow existing s/w to see the BT connection,
though SE's Phone Monitor s/w can stubbornly refuse to see BT at all but
work sometimes on my PC. BT dongles are very cheap here in the UK.

You can also do it via infrared. Just buy an infrared dongle for the PC (if
it isn't already equipped with IR) and from the phone - choose the photo and
then "View", "More", "Send". You then have various options - As picture
message, As e-mail, Via Bluetooth, Via infrared. Works fine.
