Hi,
I have just bought a Sony Ericsson T610 phone on a UK Vodafone 30 tariff
with the add on text/data calls.
When I took the phone out of the box there were already 2 data accounts set
up, one for the Vodafone GPRS and one for the Vodafone WAP. I set up my pop3
email account which is NTLWORLD and tried to connect to it with both the
connections and both times it did not work, it just said 'Server not found'
I then found out how to alter to GPRS to work with it and it work fined,
however I don't really want to pay £7.50 per mb.
I then created a Virgin.net account on the phone using GSM which dialled
into their Virgin.net servers and connected to my NTLWORLD email and
downloaded the emails without any problems.
So I can connect to my NTLWORLD email account but not through the default
Vodafone WAP.
The reason I want to go through the Vodafone WAP is that the cost will come
off my inclusive minutes/text messages.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
Regards
Matthew

Re: T610, Vodafone Live and GSM pop3
Just a thought...
create a vodafone.net email address
have your NTL account forwarded there.
access through vodalive/WAP and your message centre (audio)
