In priciple CHA-10 should work; CHA-01 won't. The one that's
physically connectable is the CHA-10, CHA-01 has different
connector type.

But be aware that, in practice, the CHA-10 isn't much use with the newer
phones.
With the T39 and the T68, there are known problems with very slow response
times and a quirck involving the apostrophe character, which uses up 20-odd
character spaces in an SMS for instance.
Furthermore, the www.ericsson.com/chatboard site, which was supposed to
provide online support for services like e-mail and wap, no longer exists.
From my personal experience, using the CHA-10 with my T39m, it's impossible
to recommend the chatboard.

Tried mine with the T610 & text entry works but the menu keys didn't. I
don't find small qwerty keyboards that useful & hardly ever used it with
my T39. Never liked the method of changing to CAPS - making it
debateable if it can really be called qwerty anyway.

And both the German and the French versions have Bugs knwon to
///. I do agree that I have used CHA-01 with my T18 much more
frequently than the CHA-10 with my T39's.

Absolutely not, sorry. The bugs have nothing to do with T9
predictive intput, they're here, period.

I guess we are talking about different things here. I meant bugs on
the French and German versions of CHA-10, bugs that have to do with
the keyboard layout ([+] and [:] keys permuted etc). These bugs -
officially admitted by /// - have nothing to do with T9, nor do they
appear on the English version.

Re: T610 and Chatboard - are they compatible?
Well, after ordering the CHA-10 from eBay for about $11US, the thing works
perfectly with the T610 in all my POP3 email accounts I have setup in the
phone itself. I would not use this in casual SMSing and short emails, but
when stuck at an airport or some other place, it will be SO nice to ship out
the chatboard and get all my email answered in detail (which would kill my
fingers) with this mini-keyboard.
Another good score from Ericsson....err, Sony Ericsson

Re: T610 and Chatboard - are they compatible?
I bought the CHA-10 and it works (mostly) but it WILL ONLY DO CAPITAL
LETTERS! Which means it's fine for email/sms but sux if you're trying
to use it for telnet access to a unix server that uses cApItAliZaTiOn
sensitive commands.

Re: T610 and Chatboard - are they compatible?
Read the book! If you hit Shift then the Space Bar you will get small
letters.
